Week 24

I finished my sources table at home so I linked it in with my screensaver. I started making sure that I had a feedback from my test buddy for all the work I have done. I started looking at things I need in my report so that when I go home I can do it then.
Friday: I started my review. I found this quite easy because i got help from my friends to write in the review,I also went to the the think click level 2 website and i found a file which told me what to write which made it much more easier for me.

Week 23

On monday there was no school because it was bank holiday.
On friday i went through my E-portfolio and made sure that all my links were connected and working. I started to improve my work and make them better. I also started to make sure that all my work were completed and that I had done all the work I needed to do

Week 22

I got my test buddy to evaluate my screensaver and give me suggetions. Afterwards,having his comments and suggetions in my mind I looked at what I can improve on my screensaver. I thought it was a simple and easy task and I didn't have any major problems this week.

Week 21

Monday: I got a checklist from Mr Ahmed about what my screensaver had to contain. I had to tick off all the boxes that linked to my screensaver.

Week 20

I finished off the presentation and made sure that it runned continuously. But am still unsure it is eye catch to 5-7 year olds but am going to show it to my cousin who is 5 years and ask her if it is eye catching. And I am also going to show it to my test buddy for advice.

I updated my ongoing plan and my sources table and all I have to do is get feedback from my test buddy.

This task was okay but hard because we are designing it for 5-7 year olds so we had to make sure that it didn't have too much words or complicated words and also we had to make it from what we think they would like which is hard because I am a teenager and what I think they will like isn't what they like.

What I enjoyed most in this task was making the Screensaver.

Week 19

We have started a new topic called Screensaver for 5- 7 year olds. We has to make a E-safety friend for the 5 -7 year olds. Make a powerpoint presentation containing 4 slides which has at least 2 information about Internet safety for the children.
The powerpoint had to be colourful; contain little words; encourage little children to keep safe on the internet and also run continuously.

I started to create a draft copy of my E-sfaety friend and than finally after making a proper sketch I scanned it and used it in my screen saver.

Week 18

I finished every page in my leaflet and made sure it was suitable for parents. I linked it into my e-portfolio and made sure that everything linked into another, but I haven't finish linking everything yet so i need to finish that.

Week 17

On monday I finished off my the poster part of my leaflet and then made sure that the first page was suitable for a parent and career. I did this by showing the front cover to my mum and dad and then I asked her if she saw this in a shopping centre would she pick it up. She said yes and that because it was attractive, and if something is attractive it would make parents and careers want to read what it is about . Then I made sure I had enough information on the introduction page. On friday I started writing down list of websites useful website that parents and careers can use and what is the main point of the website and how it can help them learn more about E-safety.

Week 16

This week in ICT I started making my poster in the leaflet. I have put lots of planning in the leaflet. firstly I drew what I wanted it to look like so that when it comes to making it it would be easier. Then I wrote down the information I wanted on my leaflet and how I wanted it to look like. I decide that the colour scheme of my leaflet is blue with white shades in it. I decided these colours because it stands out and because the posters are going to be on the wall and I want people to look at it and remember it

Week 15

This week i started writing the introduction of my leaflet. The introduction had to include: what E-safety is, What the leaflet is about and many more. In the introduction I gave parents lots of information about E-safety. During this week I found the week really easy because it was clear what you have to do

Week 14

I started making the front cover of my leaflet. The front cover of the leaflet has to be colourful and attractive and I made sure that the leaflet also matches to my colour scheme(blue and a bit white). I saw a picture that I wanted to use but it wasn`t copyright free so I had to send a message to the people who made that picture to ask them if I can use the picture and they said yes. However I have decide not to use cartoons for my leaflet because cartoons are childish and this leaflet is for parents and careers,so am not using the picture anymore.

Week 13

This week on Monday I didn`t attend my monday lesson because I am doing a YPI Charity project and for that I had to do some research work but I attended my Friday lesson, thsi was a bit of my catch up lesson but still I`m a bit behind from the work and that`s why I will try to catch up with that work.

Week 12

This week I started to design the template for my E-Safety leaflet. The E-Safety leaflet is for parents/ guardian. it has to 8 A5 pages holding different information.

the outer page (1-2 and 7-8) must form a four-page leaflet worth keeping with: an atrractive cover page

• an introduction to e-safety
• an article summarising the main findings of your survey, illustrated by charts
• some web addresses for further information, taken from the database

page 3 and 6: can be left blank because its going to be the back of the poster. it also has to be removable.

Pages 4 and 5: is the A4 poster with top tips for e-safety.

Week 11

This week I am going to use my Database and Query results to create reports which meet following requirements:

Week 10

This week i have continued with the database. i finished print screen and writing captions underneath. i think that the database work was not that hard because I understood the instructions Sir gave.

Week 9

On Monday & Friday, I created a database to store details of online e-safety resources. I had to design and build a suitable database structure to store the data. While I was doing this i had to print screen it to show as evidence. Make sure that each field has a suitable name, data type, format and length and validate the audience field.

Week 8

On Monday, I made Graphs for my Questionnaires with a little help from my Sir and than I compared the results I got for Male and Female

Week 7

This week since we did not have school on Monday I had to do some catch up work at home. At home I finished off my questionnaire and filtered my questions. On Friday I finished off filtering my work. Now I have to send the work to Mr Ahmed

Week 6

I still haven`t figured out that result which I was supposed to use for make a graph. So that`s why now I have made a target for me that I will have to do this in my own time and will have to work much faster than I am doing now. We have also got school off on Monday so I a=can use this to catch up on all of my work.

Week 5

I am still trying to figure out the question I am stuck on but I am asking my my friends to help me to finish it off as soon as possible.

Week 4

I have collected the data but I can`t make the graph for one of the question because I think that I have putted the wrong values. I have also sended my completed work to my test buddy to mark it and give feed back if necessary.

Week 3

I have finished my questionnaire and have printed it out about 30 copies or parents to fill out the information. I have also collected data in Excel to create simple and comparison Graphs.

Week 2

Our teacher came after a whole half term because he was on holidays. After his coming back we started the actual project.I have started to produce my Survey on Microsoft Excel and then I will copy it to Microsoft Office Word for printing it to give it to people for carrying out the results.

Week 1

This week in ICT I have started my Think Click Project. I started making my website and also I have started adding information on the first page. Once in between in this time our school computer system was not working properly which lead whole class a bit behind the schedule.

My target for next week would be not to be getting distracted by other class fellows and also to do the work properly.
